Default Christopher Neil, Northwich

Any one know if Christopher Neil of Northwich, Cheshire, have given up their Subaru franchise? They also do Noble and Vauxhall top end stuff too...

Another Subaru dealer mentioned this at the weekend.

Bit concerned as I got my new STi 08 off Christopher Neil in july and as the Manchester Subaru dealer has also apparently closed, means I have a 50+ mile drive into Wales to the next nearest dealer.

Warranty etc. probably remains fine as with Subaru, but services etc. and initial remedial works now harder if the supplying garage is no longer Subaru, and also the "promise" of good price to upgrade next year to 380S or whatever newer model comes along worth little!

Cheers

I was there yesterday and they still have all the signs showing Subaru. Booked in next Wednesday for a reflash on my STI and they didn't say anything about not being a dealer but they don't have any new Subarus in the showroom.

If they have left Subaru then the nearest one to them is Monks Heath Motors Ltd - 01625 861544 Chelford Road, Nether Alderley, Macclesfield, SK10 4SZ

Thanks,
Paul.

Evenin' Mark,

Do Prosport do warranty work on new STi's ?? Fix PDI / accessory fitment issues ??

Let me know how that exedy clutch goes, I had 3 of them and 2 were absolute pooh! Judder r us ... one fitted by Subaru dealer, other one by 3rd party "Impreza specialist".

Still prefer the AP - organic and higher rated one!

Blue car still going strong in new owners hands!!!

Ok, talked to Subaru dealer today. My sales guy, Jeff Borg has been assimilated to some where else ... so no wonder no replies to my calls / mails!

Christopher Neil, Northwich are not supplying new cars BUT do have a few to move ... maybe a good deal there.

They ARE doing accessory fitting and service work there, and welcome previous ( and I guess new ) customers for service or other work.

They told me the PPP was £1600 for Prodrive exhaust ( no idea what's different ) and remapped ECU - remap the current one with "std " Prodrive map. Gets the BHP and Torque quoted.
This should also fix any issues with the red line / over revving / fuel cut issue.

The reflash is really only needed for those who have had det alerts ( do we get these ?? ) or feel hesitation when driving hard at red line, not a feature of all STi 08's ... but will do it on request.

Any other options ( apart from Lichfields 360 hp option! ) to release engine power and torque, and preferably warranty friendly?
