Post AMC Chelmsford

Hello

Has anyone used AMC Subaru in Chelmsford for any work on their Subaru and how did you rate them please?

Do they compare to Days - good, bad or ugly?

Thank you.

Thanks Phil

Did they employ Days old technicians or are they all new (ie no experience with Subaru) and were the costs reasonable?

Apologies for the questions - I have tried 3 times to get through to someone knowledgeable at AMC to no avail........ not a good start for me!!

Sorry to butt in, but I have spoken with these guys twice in two days for parts enqs and been met with a very dis-interested approach by staff.....maybe it was an off day for them.

Nothing major mate, just a vent for the bumper, a badge for the grille, and a coded key and fob.
After that, it'll be odds and sods, as and when (Hopefully!!)

not trading as AMC, but County Motor Works (the Vauxhall dealer next door) did some work for me quite a few years ago on a calibra. they repaired a damaged n/s wing mirror and quoted me £100. when i went to pick it up, the woman i dealt with was very aggresive when i complained being misled over the vat issue and just dismissed my comments about there being masking tape on the mirror cover when they had been paid to replace the cover (ie not spray it) - i vowed not to use them again

on mon of this week, i left my car key in my wife's car so had to use the spare. battery was completely dead, so i drove round various places (alarm blaring away) and i thought i'd give AMC a try. i had tried tesco (local), sainsbury and b&q first, so they weren't my first port of call. anyway, they had the right battery and i changed it there and paid the very reasonable £1. key still not working, so headed for the ice people who fitted my alarm in case it was a key issue....turns out amc sold me a dead battery. can't be @rsed to waste my time and money going back there for £1 - but be aware that i gave the guy my old battery in the plastic bag the new one came in; didn't see what he did with it though, so it may have ended up in the bin

now i certainly won't be using them, or anyone else trading from that site. this is just my opinion of course, and i hope they read this as feedback, however positive or not is always useful to a business. they should also stop sending me text messages as i don;t really want to hear from them with servicing quotes etc

i feel much better for that
