Default ST ALBANS CAR CLINIC

Not something I'd usually do, but these guys are total cowboys and just ruined my starter motor and gearbox housing when fitting a clutch.

(If you want to know why, read my post 'HOW DO YOU CHANGE A STARTER MOTOR' in the Technical section on Scoobycity.co.uk)

Not only did they do that, but when I called to speak to them about it, they hung up on me, and then when I called back told me they 'weren't interested' in fixing the car as it wasnt their problem..

Unhappy

I was actually in there today, (not getting anything done!)
Was with a friend who was getting something checked on his astra coupe
turbo,

I did see a green classic in the bay with engine out ,

They pleasant enough to my mate, but I got the feeling they are mostly into fords *only copies of performance ford in reception* *every car in a picture on the wall is a ford* *the certificates in reception are all ford ones* etc.....

Woludnt take the STi there....... subaru specialists only for me thank you!

That car is the owner of SCC's, he brought it with a blown engine and is waitin for a new lump to put in.

I'm a good friend of Rob's and they do specialise in fords they have got a good rep with them.

Regards to the problem of the starter motor, i can only asume there might have been a problem with the starter motor supplied or something elseThere ain't no excuse for puttin the phone down on u thou might have caught them at a bad time??

Best bet though is to take it to people that specialise in you make of car?
Changin the starter motor is childs play thou

Thumbs up

Dan I think the guy is called Rob who we saw today.... uh oh its 00.34... yesterday

I think he has the Focus RS aswell doesnt he, there were a few magazine shoot cars on the walls with him in, a nice flame shooting cossie was one of them!

He was friendly enough to me while I was there,

Yer... He was friendly enough to me until I called him about the bodge job he did on my car.....

Wasnt so friendly when i threatened him with legal action ( which im pursuing, but getting my car re-fixed somewhere else.)

At the end of the day, he might be certain people's 'mate' but Im telling it like it is, so the decisions yours.

Shame though, as I was told by a few people that they were a good garage...

OBVIOUSLY NOT..
