Default Gary at Keith Michaels does it again :D

Would just like to say a big thanks to Gary at Keith Michaels for sorting me out an awesome insurance policy.
They cover all mods fully with breakdown and all the trimmings for £1275 which was a LOT less than anyone else quoted me.
Not a bad price for 390bhp 03 Sti being driven by a 24 year old I recon

Aaron - glad to help mate, looking forward to seeing the car at some of the Surey meets.

Unfortunately we can only insure performance cars if you have experience on a performance vehicle in the past. This way claim stats are lower and we can offer cheaper prices.

...And how does one get experience on a Performance car Brake all the rules in the book, by NOT getting insurance in a performance. I am sure that the Authorities will love that !

Only one way.....pay lots of money unfortunately!!!!

When i first got my Impreza at 24 i paid over £1400 (with maximum NCB), and even then that was taking into account i had a 300bhp Astra Turbo for 4 years!!!!

This year was only the second time i have paid less than £1000 per year on insurance.

ps....don't always believe how much people tell you their insurance is, a friend of mine paid £3500 to insure his Impreza, but told his friends he was apying £1500!!!!

Oh ok.
Does not NCB count these days. Ive got 3 and so far that has NOT help me. I supose it takes 7 years before you can get a decent car never mind a performance one. But what about Young tall people. Tall people DON'T fit into small 1L cars. We need 2.0 large saloons to get any sort of comfort. Its not f'in fair!

Lol, silly name anyway.

We have 2 directors, Keith and Mike. But the amount of people who phone us and ask to speak to Mr Keith Michaels is a joke!!!

The best ones are people cold calling trying to sell stuff....''Hi can i speak to Keith Michaels please, he'll know who i am, so put me through''

ps....this is Gary aswell by the way, this is my other login name!!!!!!

To be honest experience often counts for more than NCB

Gary,

Thanks for your quote yesterday (quoted me on a 2003 JDM STI).

I know you mentioned it (I have forgotten already ) but did you say there is no extra cost if I was to fit an after market exhaust on it?

Well, I was with Kieth Michaels with my 05 STI PPP. I'm 31, living in Darlington with 11 years no claims. Car is parked in secure (electronic gated) residential car park, in the nicer part of Darlington. I was paying £1200 or there abouts. I phoned to inquire about Prodrive spring kit and PFF7 alloys, and they then refused to cover me. Had to move to A-Plan.

I just can't understand why I pay soo much for my insurance, when some of you are paying so little in comparison, especially the ones that are younger than me with more mods/BHP. I've never crashed (touch wood) and have no points on my License.

Would be interested in any comment from Gary.

Unfortunately not everyone @ Keith Michaels tries as hard as i do to insure modified cars.

Always worth speaking to me, as i try harder being a member of the site and being a Subaru owner myself.
