Supplier not giving correct receipt
After recently purchasing some mods on a group buy I never received a proper vat invoice from the well know supplier. I have sent several e-mails, which were ignored requesting a proper invoice.
Being vat registered I can claim back the vat worth £137.02.
Now do I go about getting this resolved?
Did the supplier do use a deal by fiddling his vat?
Do I pass it on to the vat office and let them sort it
cheers

Is the supplier vat registered first of all?
If he is, then he should supply an invoice so you can claim back
If not, then even if he does give you an invoice, he isnt vat registered so you cant claim.
I would just ring them

I cant see them trying to hide the VAT to be honest then mate. If they did a group buy on this product, they obviously sold quite a lot.
Now when they bought it, they probably put it through the business and would have claimed the vat back.
So when they sold the goods, they should have included the vat.
These goods i assume were about £920 inc vat? If so it will be pretty hard to put through a group buy of £920 each not through the books and not charge vat, it will be to risky.
So i suspect they will give you a VAT invoice when asked
