Ok im interested in finding a decent 3rd party warranty setup, each individual dealer tries to tell you their warranties are good, but i would like to know peoples experience, this could serve as a good education thread also for people who are lookin, this must be an often asked question, so please give your experiences

sorry dont mean to be pushy, but i thought all the imports people would have had issues with warranties, so did most people who bought an import for a decent sum of money, didnt bother with any warranty at all??

Cool

I'm looking into a decent warranty at the mo.. for when mine expires, not many companys seem too keen to cover the impreza turbo models, try starting off here..

In my opinion, and based on two incidents, I can advise that Warranty Holdings are next to useless. They always look for every excuse to avoid any payout or reduce it greatly.

First case was on a Porsche Turbo that I spent thousands on having serviced at Porsche main agent. Warranty holdings didn't want to know when first head gasket went and later the turbo. In both cases they insisted it was wear and tear.

Secondly on my Mitsubishi, the no. 3 piston make a break for freedom. Warranty Holdings pointed to the micro print which excluded any caused or resulting from overheating. The piston showed signs of getting hot (strange that for a piston?) so they used that as an excuse to avoid the claim. After much threats and engineers reports that eventually made a small contribution towards the costs still leaving me over £2,000 out of pocket.

The best thing to do with your warranty money is put it on the favourite at Newmarket. If it loses you are no worse off than giving the money to Warranty Holdings. If it wins you can bank the money to pay for any future repairs.

I wouldn't even pay £5 for one of their warranties.

Bunch of crooks, in my opinion.
