API Engines. Any good?
#1
I am looking at buying an STI4 type R and have been speaking to API engines in Lemington Spa. They seem on the ball and were very helpful.
Lots of the cars they sale have just had, or are currently getting engine rebuilds and I quite fancy the idea of running the car in and having the engine mapped to run on optimax from the very beginning. This would put my mind at rest about the history of the car and what fuel and oil it had been run on and how it has been treated... the list goes on.
Does anyone knoe anything about API and the quality of their work etc?
and also, what are peoples viewpoints on buying a car (with say 50,000 miles on the clock) with a freshly rebuilt engine?
Cheers

If you have been speaking to David at API then yes, superb outfit & many of his cars come direct from APi Japan.
I have a customers car here at the moment and he is over the moon with the car that David supplied, stunning nick, goes well, sounds great & well maintained.....

Thanks for the response. David was the man I was talking to and he seemed very helpful.
I think I will seriously consider them as a possible source for a new car.
cheers
