The title is fairly self explanatory, also, is the difference THAT noticable? I would be interested to get hold of some and give it a try.....

Cheers all.

Roger Clarke Motorsport do a few different ones. I get my NF race from there and it's the best one i've tried by far 01455828610.

Forgive me

But why do you want Octane boster if you have a standard MY03 WRX with no mods

Super L /Optimax is more than sufficent indeed UnLeaded is ok with the Standard car

I didnt necessarily want to use it right now, I was asking for opinions on to where I could potentially get some and also what difference it does actually make, which I can only assume is increased throttle response etc.

Thats all

P.S. from what you said does it make more difference if youve tuned your car then?

In addition, i do also find that my car really doesnt like 95 too much, as this has been a source of my performance problems according to the vast majority of people ive spoken too on here.

I am from now on though going to use optimax where possible to see if it helps in anycase, ive never given the car an extended run on optimax only you see.

Thanks though.

Neilo, sorry to hi-jack your thread m8, but can anyone tell me where to get good OB around Edinburgh, I'm heading north shortly for a tour and I think Optimax is pretty rare once you get past Inverness.
Thanks.

There's Optimax in both Ullapool and Contin (just north of Inverness). In theory, you are never more than about 60 - 70 miles from a stataion selling Optimax/Super Unleaded.

Has anyone tried this?

Firepower Pill

I heard it was developed by Shell in Australia and has the same additives as Shell Optimax. My mate has it in his Focus now and says it makes regular unleaded "feel" like optimax.

Don't know anything other than that i'm afraid.
