Gettin serviced Up North
#1
Local main dealer took £125 of my hard earned, then unleashed a trained monkey in a boiler suit on to my scooby, returning it only half full of oil.
Seriously thinking of using TSL in Nottingham but don't fancy the 300mile round trip every 6 months.
Any decent garages out there closer to home?

Skid,
It is sometimes a recommendation that you only fill the scoob half way between the top and bottom marks on the dipstick to avoid clogging the dump control solenoid valve.
I use Dennis common in Northumberland and have good service and value, there are other Subaru dealers about.

Agree with Riftzone, Gilesgate in Hexham are very good and have sorted me out on numerous occasions! They had no problems at all servicing my imported V5 Type R
Also have to recommend Revolution
Servicing is only £25/hour and Glen knows a thing or two about Scoobies

For advice try Ian Armstrong at Stan Palmers here in Carlisle
ian@stanpalmersubaru.co.uk
He looks after my Import Scooby....Eibachs, ITG, EcuTeK, SECS, Tarty mods etc. He gets around a bit (track days usually) so don't be put off by speaking to Tom or Kenny (and the rest of the gang).....

I would make the 300 mile journey from Scotland round trip to STAN PALMERS in Carlisle. Ask for Ian Armstrong a Top rate bloke that actually knows what CUSTOMER CARE means!!!!!!!!

yep stan Palmers my01 there at the moment due to 3rd gear crunch..They did not have a curtsy car so I have been given a hire car. Peep carrier moved loads of stuff about , Great service . Tom on reception always helpful. i have had 2 scoobs over 5years and do 20k per year . I have used loads of dealers from Newcastle to Nottingham and Stan Palmers best by a mile. Buying me next one from them

yep - registered with cumbrian scoobs the other day.
nice STI 8 parked outside the office this morning, needed a wash though!
work in carlisle but usually get the train in - girlfriend not happy about spending money on petrol when the trains a lot cheaper - still, it saves me 1000 miles a month on the car...
