Talking

I live in rotherham but work up and down the country,
i am trying to find somebody decent to do the 45k service, leeds is a sticking point at the moment (spend 2-3 days a week in leeds, the others would be options as i travel about)

Cheers

A very close friend of mine would certainly warn you off Steve Tate! Said friend had his car at Swillington Autocare (correct name of business) for over a year waiting for an engine to be built for him! and in that time Steve Tate produced f**k all apart from copious amounts of lies and bull****..! (allegedly). In my opinion my friend was way too understanding, but after a whole year the car was removed and rightly so never to be returned! I could mention other friends that have used him and are very disgruntled with his service but i wont..! BE WARNED! The passage above is all IMHO..!

Wise choice you know it makes sense! i'm at said friends at the moment and he's just reminded me of the amount of damage the car picked up during its stay with Steve! Keep in mind the fact that the car had just been freshly sprayed!!!
1, 3" long dented crease along centre of bonnet
2, very deep chip size of a 5p on front bumper
3, Two scuffed mirrors
4, Scuffed and chipped arch extension
5, 3" long Knife mark (stanley) on roof!

So basically the car had been used as a very expensive work bench...!

I'm surprised. - I've never had an engine built by him but I wouldnt be impressed with the damage to the car your mate had.

servicing wise - always done OK - but he has recently taken on some young kids to help and I wasn't impressed at these hanging around the car.

think its a case of getting too busy - try to get bigger - and the service starts to go downhill when taking on employees who don't have the same knowledge or interest as the owner of the garage.
