I was just wondering if anyone had bought from the above?
I so, did you have to pay import tax, and how close was the price quoted to the price you actually ended up paying?
How long did delivery take, and what did you buy?
Cheers in advance.

i deliver a lot of stuff from taka kaira to 2 shops in bradford one of the shops has to pay cash on delivery and it aint chaeap to import stuff your probably better buying direct from the english dealers as import charges, vat and carriage charges are a bit expensive, sometimes paying £450 per intercooler, but dont forget the companies that import stuff get it all back from mr vat man.

Checkerflag is normally about 10% cheaper than Taka(can get HKS pistons, cams, pulleys&headgasket for around £1k for GTiR)but you have to transfer the money0no CC's.Both have good reputations for delivering.

Well, I've just ordered from Taka Kaira, and their price including customs charges and carriage from Japan, still saved me 30% on UK price.....certainly not to be sniffed at.

Well, if shopping from Japan is not the way to go, I don't know what is!!!!
I ordered my bits on 24th June and was told they would be dispatched "no later than 5th July"
Well, exactly one week later, I had a knock on the door. EMS couriers with a parcel from Japan! ******* hell!!
1 week from online ordering, to the parts arriving at my door.
You can't get that kind of service from UK companies!!!
Plus, NO import tax, no C.O.D. as stated above, just a "thank you"
Cost of goods = £160
UK equivalent = £270 + p&p
Total saving = £110 plus......
Can't praise this company enough!!!!
