Talking

Try Adams in Aylesbury or Lavender Hill in Enfield.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mark.

Alternatively, Quenbys in Baldock - just up the A1 from you.

Thanks guys,

I've been in touch with all 3 and the earliest they can fit me in is the monday after next (11 June) in Aylesbury, fine for the 60,000 mile service. However I have a heatshields problem (or so I have been told) at the moment - rattle coming from engine, does anybody know anybody reliable locally who could look at it, as I have a trip to Bournemouth this weekend and the noise is driving me mad! Or do you advise sticking to main dealers?

Adams of Aylesbury are VERY nice people but cheap they are not!!!!

I can't quite remember the exact prices but for my 30 000 service I went to ScoobySport (in Essex so not too far around the M25) and got a service and a mid section for LESS than the service alone at Adams.

Worth investigating I think.

Rob.

PS If you want a main dealer and are worried about price, then go to Quenbys as they are definatly cheaper than Adams. However I will not trust my car to them again however cheaply they service it.

Cheers Rob,

You're not the first one to say Adams is a bit on the expensive side.

Scoobysport sounds like a good solution, have you got a phone number and address?

Cheers m8

P.S. What happened at Quenbys?
Miles

http:\www.scoobysport.co.uk

All you need is on there, they are in Basildon, Essex by junction 29 of the M25 ! about 45 mins to an hour away !

Never had a problem with Quenby myself ! but all dealers seem to get a black mark from soembody or other for various reasons !

Quenbys.

Well I don't want to get anyone into trouble re libel etc. on the list so can we leave it vague.

Basically if I type certain words and allow you to make up your own mind.......

Water, filled, radiator, not enough, overheat, new turbo charger, not very happy, lost rad. cap, YTS employee, actually very unhappy , genuine mistake (perhaps), distinct lack of contrition etc. etc. You get my drift......

Some or all of these words can be used by you to try to guess what happened .

Rob,

Nothing like a riddle to wake me up in the morning (not that it was difficult!).

I've just been on the scoobysport website and am gonna ring them later today. It seems stupid to pay top dollar if Scoobysport can offer as good a service, with guaranteed subaru parts etc.

And from what I hear from asking around their work matches up to what they say.

Their 22b rear spoiler and front splitter looks tempting, think I'll have to wait until the cash flow has settled a bit first!!!
