Question

I know that this is a warrenty repair and I've just had confirmation from my local dealer that they have been given the go-ahead from Subaru Warrenties to fix it.

But...

They say that I will have to pay the labour charge? Only half an hour but this hardly seems fair to me.

Is this normal?

Thanks guys/gals,

Blues.

Thumbs down

Yeah, half hour labour ain't tooooo bad ... but just get the feeling that the dealer is stitching me up ! Will call the warrenty people and ask why. Surely a warrent fix/repair is for a reason and therefore should be completley FOC to the customer.

Hmmmmm. At least they called back! Only been trying to get this sorted since late sept. Hassle, hassle and then more hassle.

Stand your ground - I had my drivers side replaced on my old MY99 under warranty and I didnt pay a penny.

They're pulling a fast one - contact IM customer services direct if they wont budge.

Spoke to IM customer services last night and they requested that I get my dealer to phone them direct. Wouldn't give me any more info than that tho.

Fingers X'd !

Mickle,

IM number is 0121 522 2000 but you may need to visit a dealer first?

should not have to pay anything, if subaru warranty are accepting it. there is a modification "guide" that has to be fitted to the window assembly, which helps to prevent, I wont say "stop" it from scratching further. if they dont fit at same time, it will be exactly the same in 2 weeks!
I had all 4 windows replaced on my old scoob under warranty and did nt pay contribution to anything. Check with customer relationsmanager at Subaru UK. 0121 522 2000, guy named John Sherwood.
might be the better option first before opening your wallet.
