Richard,

Hi there, I know Wilson`s - can they be trusted with the cambelt change?

For example I know Lancaster Sevenoaks has high quality workshop practice but charges for it, like 90ish pounds more for the 45K than Spring Park, in West Wickham, however I would not trust SP to do the work.......oh what to do!

James,
Days in Chelmsford did my 45K service for £370 was nearly 2 years a go though, I have had no complaints with their service and they give SIDC discount.

Call me on 01206 751818 tomorrow and I can arrange it for you.

Cheers

Used SP for minor services.

The one time I dropped the car in with a known problem - warped disks in this case, it was returned with a `they are as new` comment. Drove down the road, braked; judder judder judder, kind of reduced my confidence in them a bit!!! Plus I`ve always found the desk staff in the front very snotty. Don`t know why but there you go!

I used Scoobysport in Basildon for my cambelt service and few months ago.

Can't remember how much it was, though Pete did undercut my local specialist and the official dealer. I'd certainly recognise a service book with PE and SS stamps as being as good as a full dealer serviced car, if buying secondhand.

If it's out of warranty, then getting it serviced at a recognised specialist might save you enough to get such niceties as back boxes, decatted centres, downpipes, Cibies, etc, etc.

Early morning rush hour is not the time to drop it off, though
