Thumbs down

Hi mate
Can only comment on the level of competance I received on general servicing of the car.
Lets put it this way I would be looking elsewhere for my bodywork to be done. There again this is my one and only dealing with them and it could be a one off.
Now going to use Mainland in Widnes.

I'd be very surprised if Monks Heath did their own bodywork, as it's not such a big place.
I'd suggest using Spraycraft in Chorlton.I've had two Scoobs with body damage repaired there. The cars have both been like new when they've come out.Top quality.

Tel: 0161 862 9007
Ask for Paul (proprietor), and tell him you got the number from Steve Jones

OK, so the guy is an old family frind, but trust me.You won't be disappointed.I wouldn't entrust my Scoob to anyone else.

Incidentaly, they used to do work for AP Hynes (Subaru dealer in Chorlton), before it closed.

just had mainland do a repair on my rear door.

it is silver - allegedly one of if not the worst colours to match -top job cannot see where original problem was now.

they use a group bady shop in warrington.

never used monks heath for anything as i didn't like their attitude when i was trying to buy a car. looks like rashers opinion is not just a one off.

Hi SPJ,
Didn't A P Hynes use a company in Stockport for their bodyshop repairs?
Can't remember the name but if it comes back to me I will post it up on here.
Tony the ex owner of AP hynes used to take his Mercs their because of the top job they did.
They never used conventional filler apparently, if they had to use a filler is was lead based!!!
Incidently that's where I bought my Scooby from, hence all the useless information

Rasher,

Don't know about Hynes having work done in Stockport, but I know Spraycraft did do work for them.Perhaps PMB were on the Insurer's authorised lists, cos I know Spraycraft wasn't.

fyi both my Scoobs have been Reddish Blue, and the colour match was spot on.
My first Scoob came from Hynes in 98.Couldn't fault the pre sales service, but aftersales was another story!

Hope you get it sorted whereever you go.

Monks Heath don't do bodywork themselves (who does?).

When I had my MY99 recovered to Monks Heath back in 2000 they sent it over to G&J Leese in Lower Withington. They have loads of experience with scoobs and did an excellent job.

When I needed a new bumper on my MY01 last week I took it direct to Leeses and was again very happy with both the work and the service.

Cheers,
Gareth
