Just to say a big thanks for the gauges and new style centre pod for my MY01!
In the daylight it looks even better!
So no I know when I can play with the engine more (oil temp) and that I develop 1.3 bar of boost in 4th and 5th!
Sorry it was so late finishing but maybe next time we skip the pub meal... or the work!

Pod, gauges and control unit (under the stereo head unit)
The pod and gauges
As for price you are best contacting Nito via his website http://www.nitosport.co.uk
I had pressed "peak" a the gauges are showing the maximums reached... with this controller there is also a very cool 3 minutes of playback rather than the 40 seconds than with the previous controller.

DJ Dunk - have to agree it balances the VSD-II up nicley!
Also the new pod gives another option to those, like me, that didn't "carbon up" the inside of the car.

Ian - I think they are very nice to, as do all the other people that have bought the gauges before me!
Yes it has been raining all day and I wanted to wash the car... I mean what is the point in a day off when you can't wash the car?!
Rich - I have peaked at 1.4 bar in fifth gear. Fourth and fifth usually get 1.3 bar, the lower gears result in ower pressure (I'm sure that makes sense to someone that actually understands this stuff).
Guess the PPP cars boost slightly higher than the often commented 1.1!

You say you pushed button A for peaks reached but the centre guage for oil pressure (I think) is not reading very high. Surely the peak for this would be straight after start up when the oil is cold and thick - I get 100 PSI on mine........................

Mr.Manchester - I found them really easy to fit... Nito did it himself!
It did look very awkward at points and removing the intercooler was something I hadn't planned on! I did help at times and at others just watched on.
It took Nito about 2 hours in total (including the obsessive tidying up bit as well)
Spender - I dunno...

MATTel....yeh myo1 uk300ppp with decat scoobsport exhaust was boosting at them levels....went to p+E who were quite shocked at that boost level and readjusted it to 1.1bar which according to them is a lot safer...as 1.4 bar is too high...just for info

Rich it has only hit 1.4 bar twice... the alarm goes off at that point and I back off.
The car has been like this for over a year now (about 30,000 miles)... I just never got around to the gauges before now and was quite surprised.

Hi Mark, that looks well . Nice to see what the dark faced gauges look like in situ. I'm currently arranging for Nito to install some in my STi. I especially like the placing of the control unit. Makes me think that I need to change the double din unit in mine

Markus - If you are looking to change the headunit I can recommend a place!
The storage tray is a Subaru part.
I prefer the black faced dials... they will be better in the STi as you have red needles as well!

Brannings in Guildford isn't it? Think I'll be visiting them between now and Xmas .
You're right, I chose the black faced, red needle gauges as they will blend in nicely with the dark blue faces and red needles of the STi dash.
There's no way I could install the gauges so emailed Nitosport earlier this week to see if Nito could do it for me. I'm completely useless when it comes to stuff like this so will be interested to see how easy Nito makes it look .

Mark - Ian Bannings in Guildford very helpful and nice people.
O have to agree about being useless when it comes to things that look to mechanical. Nito makes it look depressingly easy!

I'd just like to add another big thank you to Nito and Jane at Nitosport . I got my gauges and vsd fitted in my STi Type UK on Sunday. Nito did a superb job and really is a perfectionist . The dash coloured Defi pod is an excellent match and the view of the gauges is simply awesome. Thank you to you both .

I believe the control unit goes on the side of the centre console in the driver's foot well if you still have a double DIN or if you go for the older control unit you can have it mounted in place of the ashtray.
I am looking to get a small clock from some where and stick it down by the ashtray.
