I ordered a part from a supplier which turned out to be faulty and was returned a month ago. I was promised a refund 3 weeks ago.

Despite repeated phone calls (none of which are ever returned) and promises on a few occasions that a cheque will be sent today, still nothing.

The last communication 10 days ago I was told that they had a big bill to pay.

I was denied the opportunity to pay by credit card initially despite offering to pay the fee.

I have nothing at all in writing as it was all carried out over the phone and I sent a cheque.

During further attempted telephone contact on Monday I will be rather firmer.

My next planned step is a letter sent recorded delivery demanding payment within 14 days, and if this fails followed by a summons to the Small Claims Court.

I am quite clear on my rights under the Sale of Goods Act (as ammended) and intend to see this through.

I am not naming the supplier at this stage and would not without permission from a moderator, although there have been previous problems mentioned on this BBS about this supplier. Any advice welcome.

Sounds like you have it all covered.

I think we would all like to know the supplier so we don't make the same mistake.

What sort of parts are we talking about, i.e. what did you order?

They've been saying this for the last week with inconsistent stories. Now I have given notice that I require a refund within 7 days or it goes to the Small Claims Court. I am willing to name the supplier if a moderator thinks this is appropriate.

Unhappy

Name em m8,

You have given them enough chances

The rest of us need to be able to decide for ourselves whether we want to use them.

Dave.
