TFT monitor to use as tv, 16:9 and over 15inches

Does anyone have any ideas /recommendations for the above?

I only need it to have a composite or an s video input. Doesnt need a tv tuner or speakers.

cant seem to find anythign 16:9 anywhere.

IIRC Sony do 16:9 monitors not sure about the inputs though.

Why not look at this from the other direction - get a plasma/tft screen and use it for a VDU? Many of the plasma screens have RGB inputs, and some have VGA too!

Theres an Apple one and a Silicon Graphics one too, but they ain't gonning to be cheap !

You can try searching on 1600x1024 which is the resolution

Ah - there are some other resolutions too - This site has a list of monitors - it may be a useful reference.

**** they aint cheap.

I was hoping to aim more for the 6 to 700 mark.

May have to ditch the idea of widescreen.

This is to use as a tv in a small room, to save fro suing the projector for watching tv.

so far I had my heart set on this:

That's actiually chaper than I expected.

Perhaps I'll speak to my wife about that Dyson washing machine I said she could have.........

Samsung do a 17" TFT that has a tuner built in - that's under £1000 ex-vat IIRC. Very nice piece of kit.
