Iphone 4 - is there an easy way to use one off the songs that has already been uploaded to the phone by myself as a ringtone ? cant see the option within settings ? can see all the other ringtone options but not one to use any off the music ?

lastly - phone is on o2 and when setting up I received a text advising me off the settings required for internet usage, at the end off the text was a link you could press on which would automatically set these on your phone for you, lost the text- any idea off this auto app ?

iTunes will do both.

For the Carrier settings you should get them offered again without doing anything or you can connect to iTunes and "in itunes once your iphone shows up in devices click help> check for updates"

Okay thanks appreciatte that, sounds a bit ott compared to the far easier methods on most other phones !!

Yes IMHO, it is overly long-winded - and I'm (a) a heavy pro-Apple user, and (b) an Audio Engineer (so I know how to edit audio quickly!).
Don't even ask about adding customisable message alert audio.

But it is more-so getting into Apple's way of doing things.

However, its not allowed to "dis" Apple - punishable by death or varying level of trolling.
Personally, I'm immune to it as I'm one of those users who through heavy use and exposure in the workplace to Apple products, can see that whilst they do make some truly inspiring products, *some* of their thought processes are just crazy.

They don't make it so the public at large don't have to suffer dreadful ringtones going off in public.

If you really can't live without one, there is of course an app for that, does messages too.
