Have you turned if off and on? If you have done that then do the same but remove the battery for 30 secs and turn on again, if its still playing up (what phone is it?) then you may need to do a hard reset but thats normally the last option.
Oh and have you also just turned your wifi off/on on the phone?

Do you have google+ account? that will upload all your numbers etc off the phone to cloud storage and if you lose/hard reset the phone then you can down load them again

My iPhone does this on some wifi networks. It'll show the networks, just won't connect. I have to reboot it to get it to work.

Strangely its never done it with my Asus router or the £20 Tenda....but a £200 Draytek it throws its dummy out on a number of occasions, same with a number of Netgears (one being a superhub) and a Belkin.

Go figure.

It may be worth checking when the router last automatically updated its firmware. If it ties in with the phone WiFi not working, roll it back.

Indeed, the issue is wifi, not the brand, my intel chipset laptop does it from time to time as well

Airplane mode on and off will fix most connection issues on the iPhone. Everything benefits from a 'Power cycle' every now and then, even Apple products which can go months even years without one. A friends Apple TV was acting a bit strange the other day, I asked him when he last turned it off, never was the answer, it's over two years old!!
