The console seems cheap, watched some kids playing it in a shop yesterday, seems very good.
Whats the thoughts on the amount of good games that will be available?
Is it on par with X-Box and PS2?

We've got a PS2 and just got the Gamecube. Games look as good as the PS2. Wouldn't say it looked better or worse, same with XBox (which we haven't got).
It'll all be down to the games. I can't see much difference between the same game on the different consoles, it'll mainly be the console specific ones I would think. As a pure games console though, it is very good value for money.
Depends if you want another console (if you already have one)? The missus bought the 'cube as she knows Final Fantasy X is out on 24th May so she won't get a look in on the PS2
