Default Problem when logging into website store

HOPEFULLY someone can help me with this problem as it's driving me mental.

I have a Mac Mini, a 2012/13 MBP and a PS3. Only the PS3 can log into a particular website's store, even though i've tried everything i know of to sort it out.

I know it isn't a problem with the website, as i've emailed and they know of no problems at their end and i've asked the guys on the forum which is tied to the website and none of them are experiencing any issues.

Not sure if anyone can take a look at the website and find out details of their security? When i try logging in, you can watch the web address change from login to billing, then back to login and i know everything is correct, as a warning comes up telling you something is wrong.

This is the website...

I'm seeing an issue in Safari 6.0.4 on OS X 10.8.3. It's showing me an invalid / untrusted certificate is being used by the website.

If I try firefox, when I click the checkout option for an item in my cart I see an alert telling me the site is untrusted.

It looks as though the problem is that the SSL, or other certificates for the website have expired.

This is the exact message I get from Firefox:

www.scottycameron.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.
The certificate is only valid for www.scottycameron.com

(Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)

Firefox is pretty adamant that I should not add an exception unless I really want to trust this site.

I've just tried Chrome and see a similar message to Firefox

Bottom line I think it is a website issue and not a client side issue. Three different browsers are seeing the same result. I've not tried it on Windows, but I suspect the same issue would arise too.

Many thanks for your help Markus.

I'll send another email to them letting them know and see if they come back with a half decent explanation. Still strange that no-one else is experiencing the same problem.

An update for you. Just tried it on Windows 7 Home Premium with IE (9 or 10, not sure), Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Saw exactly the same issue as with the Mac setup.

So it's not OS or browser specific for us.

Oh and point out to them that a .co.uk having the mention of 'zip code' isn't a great thing

Lol, will do.

Very many thanks for the help. Will update if they come back to me(not the quickest in replying to emails).

The ssl cert is for a .com domain and you are accessing a .co.uk one

that is what the error message is saying, the common name on the ssl certificate does not match the dns name in the browser

Change the URL to scottycameron.com and you will not get the certificate error (i suspect that is why the company say there is not a problem as they only use the .com domain)

The error is a bit meaningless anyway - if you trust the web server
