Same goes for me, but I'm reluctant to move to android. My berry's been pretty good, certainly on par if not a better than my old iPhone 3GS. And by "better", I can quantify that with it being more serious/less fun or toy-like. Personal choice.
Got time on my side though before I change. Might have another look at ip5.
But I keep threatening myself that THIS time, I'll not replace the phone and finally be rid of the shackle of mobile communication........ Wifey tends to get her own way though. Again, we'll see.
Will be interested to see how you get on with it. - keep us posted.

What dont you like about the fit & finsih? curious?
As i have small hands, i find the new crop of 5" screens just too unwieldly, the One fits my hands quite nicley.
What i do like is the curved back (aka early Iphone & ipod) all credit to apple with that, it sits nicley in my hand.
Whether the the super slippy aluminium will have an effect we shal see lol

Mart, if you're used to a physical keyboard then try swype, it should be an option on jellybean, i use it the whole time now.
Android 4.1.2 is pretty impressive, I'm approaching 2 years with my s2 and there's really nothing available yet that has any better features to tempt me. I'm waiting to see what the camera on the s4 is like - although huawei have a couple of impressive phones about to hit the market.

Issues are being fixed or have been. Htc shot themselves in the foot by calling it zero gap, when what they really meant was the back portion as the front section isn't one piece.
But they are still honoring any issues.
As for gap we are taking about something only the anally retentive would pick up on, so in other words the majority of the population.
I had a nose in a genius bar yesterday, all who tried my htc went very quiet, says it all
Every phone has had it's issues, even the mighty apple had a ton of problems on release day, certainly much more than the one has.
As for the phrase genuis bar, well that's a misnomer in itself.

HTC one is THE phone at the moment. i have had a number of HTCs since android 1.6 (htc hero) and the new One is the bolox. it does EVERYTHING i ask it too, flawlessly. the only issue i have ever encountered is the < (back) button is sometimes slow to respond. having played a lot with iOS and Gooseberry phones myself, im sure that you will find the HTC miles ahead. THe other thing to look at is the difference between HTCs 'grown up' Sense UI, and Samsungs 'dumbing down' UI. htc is dead straigt forward and functional, yet had MANY advanced features not found in Vanilla Jelly Bean. Samsung seems to make its UI all bright colours and micky mouse icons. loads of stuff i can imagine would attract an early teen. Also, HTC new home screen 'BlinkFeed' is weird at first, but once you configure it and it gets used to the things you look at the most, it puts all the stuff you want to know in the first place you look.
Im genuinely impressed with the phone. had a galaxy note2 for a while. HTC is many many times better .

I've never been a fan of sense ui, especially that god awful looking clock/weather screen.
But i have to say as skins go, sense 5.0 is the first that i can live with and i actually like. Blinkfeed is good as well, it's nice keeping up to date in such a fashion.
I do have some niggles, but they're really minor and easily fixable. Take the volume slider, it needs more steps, and even low volume is still too loud, really embarrassing if you decide to watch a bit of ****, only to have it blasting out
As for the folk that say ooh but it has no micro sd slot, pfft

Search google, I'm not alone.
It wouldn't do you any harm to allow Apple some credit. Every iPhone has moved mobile device design and manufacture forward by leaps. Nice touch on the One, unibody, seen that before? It's fantastic but blatantly obvious that Apple have been at it for longer.

Perhaps it's taken them long enough to come out with such a phone.
I almost went to apple, as I was sick of everyone using plastic all the time.
I wasn't even looking for a phone, but soon as I saw the one I was like oof I've got to get me some of that.
Edit - No torque on ios, wow they're really missing out there. Just got my obd reader the other day, it's a great app.
Useless for my simtek of course but still.
Jack - Nice seeing your being subjective, I half expected you to rip it to bits.
