Default Prodrive GT1 5x100

I've got a 2003 STI and wondered if these wheels will fit over the brembos without spacers? Also what tyre measurements will be required with a 7.5inch rim?

Nope. They fit with 5mm spacers but there is literally a *** paper gap. I'd run 10mm hub centric spacers if I were to fit them!

Hi, Sorry to hijack the thread.. I have the same wheels on my Hawk WRX wagon and I am considering changing the front brakes to a set of Brembo's. Would I also suffer the same clearance issue?

thanks,

*****.. is there an easier way round it? like a different set of wheels? I have considered reducing to 17" wheels to improve the ride quality a bit.

thanks,

Different wheels is the only way to avoid spacers if you want to fit Brembos. Any wheels fitted to newage STis up to 2005 (non widetrack) will fit over Brembos. PFF7s will fit and are a common upgrade wheel on a newage.

If you decide to sell the GT1's give me a shout, looking for another set

Sorry to keep going on about this.. Never been a fan of spacers personally. Any adverse effects on running them on the impreza?
And had a quick google. My GT1's look to be an ET of 48 and the PFF7's an ET of 51, does this sound correct? If so wouldn't a 5mm spacer be enough to clear them?

thanks,

Yeah but the clearance is next to none. I'd be uncomfortable getting the brakes too hot! 7.5mm would be the minimum I'd want! My friend runs 10mm (hub centric) spacers on his classic with no issues!

Any idea if the studs can be removed from the hub without removing the bearing etc?
For peace of mind I think I would rather go with the Eibach solution of longer studs and the spacers
