Following on from previous post I have since purchased new laptop, installed with new windows 8.
I'm having trouble turning on windows defender, for some odd reason its off......and I get a put-up screen sayings its turned off......it then doesn't give me anyother options?

How do I turn it on?

The 3rd one gave me the right direction....found a Norton prog installed free trial crap, that was stopping me turning on Defender, so deleted all Norton stuff, then turn on Defender, simple as......Many thanks for very helpful info.
