I wonder if pointing out someone's spelling mistakes in such a way could be deemed as bullying....I mean there is telling someone politely and then ridiculing them.

apple's problem with this invalid patent was that the jury decided that virtually all of Samsung's phones infringed it and wilfully. The majority of the damages awarded were attributed to this invalid patent. This will have a massive impact, there can be no willful infringement on an invalid patent, no copyright infringement on an invalid patent. The award damages could be literally zero. A new trial could well be allowed as the jury forgot to itemize the alleged infringements, so the whole award is questionable. It really couldn't get much worse for apple :-D
