Default NAS shananigins

Talk about hissy fits lol,

Never have i encountered a more fussy bit of kit lol.

I have a basic generic 2 bay nas which ive attempted to get running under various methods.

This time it was the turn of the Pi,

I have 3 machines, 2 running XP one running 7

The link up between tham all is somewhat tenious,

PC1 - Main tower, runs to the main router and ADSL line

Laptop 1 XP Wireless
Laptop 2 Wireless
NAS- ethernet to bridged wireless router (this also feeds the smart TV)

In terms of visibilty this is what i get

PC 1 can see the nas 192.168.1.69 and can transfer files to the nas
Laptop 1 xp can see the NAS and can open a folder (M) but it is empty
Laptop 2 (win7) can see the nas and can transfer files to it folder (L) but cannot see folder (M)
Pi can see nas but cannot see any of the folders

Any ideas

Mart

Have you checked the network and sharing settings? Possibly there could be an issues reading from the device wireless, also what router are you running?

Also have you tried directly plugging in one of the laptops via ethernet and accessing the ip address of the NAS? or tried mapping a drive on that IP address?
