Which tablet.
The Mrs is after an iPad for chrimbo but I'm not keen on paying there prices. I've seen the HTC flyer for £180-£250. I have a HTC one x and a one s and think there top notch.
Lets say I have £200 to spend on such a device which is the best? She wants it for browsing the net, playing crap games on, faceache and just general playing about, it must have WiFi and mobile network isn't needed.
Cheers.

hello mr wilbs,
i bought kim a nexus 7, 16gb for £200, but your £200 now buys it with 32gb storage and £159 buys the 16gb one, it also came with a £10 play credit, don't know if they still do?
so far so good and she loves it.

That looks like it should do her, now the difference in gb is it just onboard storage and nothing else? Do they accept memory cards? If so then the 16gb would be the one to have then buy a memory card to up the memory.
If you were to buy one now would you get the same again?

Just get her an iPad
Then she will be happy and not disappointed
And if she is disappointed she will enforce a hosepipe ban on you over Xmas
iPad
There is an app for that and it has the nice logo in the back too
Imagine telling her friends it's some sort of iPad copy
Not good

They deliberately exclude an sd card option to make you stump up the extra for the 32gb model.

afaik the only difference is the size of the memory, yeah it's a bit annoying about the lack of a sd card slot, but for what she uses it for the 16gb will be fine.
i don't know if owt else has come out since she's had hers, but at the time i thought they were the best option and now the 16gb is £159 i'm half temped for one for me!
