Google nexus 7, anyone got one?
Has anyone got the newer version of the nexus 7?
I'm looking to get one for my lad, but it must work with the angry birds telepod things. Does anyone know if it works as they've moved the camera compared to the older nexus 7.
Can't find any info online relating to the new one, only the old model.
Otherwise, anyone recommend a decent android tablet.

Yes. I have an old one (2012), my partner has a new one (2013).
I assume you mean front camera as the 2012 model doesn't have a rear-facing camera. The camera on the front of the 2012 is dead centre, whereas in the newer iteration it is off-centre to the right.
The newer Nexus 7 however is a fantastic bit of kit and if you want a great specced tablet, it's the one to go far without question. Running vanilla Android means you'll get updates first and also be spared any of the proprietary rubbish vendors seem to load tablets with. Important considerations are three fold:
A good processor;
Plenty of ram; and
A good screen.
Other factors such as memory size are secondary if you can use external storage (such as MicroSD). Please note, the Nexus does not have this capability.
If you are budget conscious and aren't a brand snob, the Tesco Hudl is also a capable machine for the money.
