Tablets - Help!
Looking to get one for christmas.
Background - I have had Macs over the years and have no problem with them but currently have several laptops running Win 7 and xp pro. Phones -(Samsung Galaxy SII which i truly love) are android as well.
Looking at tablets, to browse interweb, etc but would like the ability to actually do real work on one from time to time. Yes, i know i can use a laptop but like the flexibility a tablet offers. I understand that there will be a tablet friendly version of office available soon so this would lean me towards an android tablet? i am guessing so??? I want a tablet with the processing power to do multitasking and not slow down too much and able to run software such as office when it is available.
What i think i want features wise.
10.1 screen or bigger
Bluetooth
WiFi
3G (nice to have)
Powerful enough to multitask
Rugged/well made and decent back up from manufacturer
16gb will do just fine
USB capability
Future-proof inasmuch as i do not want it to be out of date and slow as hell within the next 24 months
Front and rear cameras
Below £400.00, ideally £350.00 or less.
So then, my short list and this is based on me liking the brand and the look and feel of their tablets and other products. My Samsung phones and TV have never (touch wood) let me down and i believe the iPad sets the tablet benchmark.
iPad 2 or 3
Samsung Galaxy Note II 10.1
Samsung Galaxy Tab II 10.1
I am open to other suggestions.

I'm in much the same boat, was agout to go for Samsung galaxy note, but saw that there is a nexus 10 now available, not so sure (although i dont seem to be able to acutaly buy a nexus 10?!).
I need it as an portable extension to the home comp, for lessons both teaching and as a student. My main concern is compatability with MS office and power point. It appears that the standard word processing package is compatable, the guy (who was working for samsung) in the shop didnt have much of a clue about anything else. Hope this makes sense to someone :S
