ok guys and girls, heres one for ya

bought a Ecutek delta dash off a site member, now prob is, its a 25 pin parallel port security key, not dongle as advertised, prob is my laptop is usb only, is there an adapter that can be got to enable the key to be used thro a usb, now i have bought the adapter for parallel port as in for printer, but still no joy

You will need the very latest Deltadash software to work through an adapter. The older software don't like adapters. A cheap laptop with parallel port is your most reliable option.

due to upgrading my ecu i have a DeltaDash Professional version available - surplus to requirements

this allows full diagnostic access/logging to allOBDmodels1999MYto dateand minor adjustments to idel, etc. - this does not allow remapping of any form!! unlimited access to all vehicles

all install discs, dongle, etc. included

A "Dongle" doesn't have to be USB, as many of the older (and probably a fair few younger) members will confirm.

A quick google for "dongle" comes up with Software protection dongle as the very first hit, so i guess that you have to enter into a bit of negotiation with the seller or buy some more hardware (or maybe even speak to Ecutek?).

already have spoken to Ecutek, told me it was a waste of money,too old a system, but if he wants to give me his laptop to run it

now if it said software protection dongle,then maybe i wud ave thought twice, but did ask if it was usb and he said it could be with cable, but ecutek said not can do
