Stopping Windows 2000 from auto disk checking on boot up?
#1
I'm running Windows 2000 Advanced Server and everytime it boots up it informs me that "Drive F: needs to be checked for consistancy" If I let it go ahead it hangs at 0%. I have another drive with Win98 on (switch boot sequence in the BIOS) and scanning this drive reports no errors.
If IO escape to abort the check it boots fine and runs as normal. Is there a way to disable the auto checking? In Win 95 OSR2 you used to be able to edit msdos.sys and set the line AUTOSCAN=0.
Any ideas other than reinstall? Thanks!
