Recommend us a good internet service provider.
I'm currently with virgin but its not been great, its fine when its working but the amount of times ive gone to load a browser and found out the connection is offline is becoming frustrating to say the least.
Who do you recommend, ideally a provider that comes in and sets up your wireless network as well, what sort of deals are around as well.

Loads of deals, but none will come and set it up for you.....
Its called internet natural selection....
if you cant work out how to set it up, then you shouldnt be on the web
If you just want a good ISP then try BeThere.co.uk

Just moved to Sky and its plug & play router which worked first time. Still waiting to see what final linespeed I will end up with as has only been 2 days since I switched. But its already faster than my Talk Talk was as that crawled at a lowly 1.5mb during peak hours.
Also 6 months free unlimited broadband and calls.

+1 for Sky. Just moved from PLusnet as they were rubbish. Poor connections and expensive.
Now got 20 Meg broadband (being ramped up at the moment - but they told me this. Getting 14Meg already) and phone/line rental.
Costing about £5 all in for the 1st 6months, then it goes up to £23 inc line rental. About £10 cheaper than Plusnet.
And it's unlimited usage/downloads with no fair-usage policy.
So far, so good imho.

My neighbour is with Talk Talk and lost his Internet and phone for three weeks whilst waiting for an engineer to come and diagnose the problem.
When he turned up (after three weeks) he said you haven't got any phone or Internet, we'll have to get BT to look into it!
Two days later it was all fixed!
Moral of the story is - whoever you choose for your broadband, the service comes through BT's cables in the main (certainly in more rural areas) and so if you have a problem it will be BT that has to fix it and so you might as well have the whole service provided by them and if you do get a problem they come out and fix it quickly.

I've been with o2 for years now, they have been superb. It will have to be an exceptional reason for me to move as i'm on their old truly unlimited and no throttling package for £9.50 a month (£14.50 a month for non o2 mobile phone customers).
Bethere were good but o2 have been better and cheaper.

BeThere were fabulous until a month or two ago and since then they have been having quite a few issues.
The exchange that I am is congested and as such my normal 18mb connection will get less than 1mb at times. They are due to upgrade soon.
If you are lucky enough to be on an exchange that has been upgraded to BT Infinity then that is the best choice.

That is upload and download combined and 40gb doesn't go as far as you think if watching a lot of television online and/or torrents.

Not quite, the sales advisor at BT tested our line and it can take 72mb, i'm pretty happy with that, would have been different if he'd said that it can only take 20mb and i'd paid for 78mb
The router arrived yesterday via royal mail, were switching to the new deal on wednsday when the engineer comes out and sets it up.
