Default free video editing software ?
see some good videos on Youtube , using split-screen and slo-motion, Any free downloads that anyone has used , or know off ? Really only requirements are it needs to be free , and cover lots of formats as my wee Chinese camera is weird !

VirtualDub is OK and its free

Lots of tutorials are on YouTube how to make like split screen,slow motion etc

checked them out , thanks, but Sony Vegas isnt free , and VirtualDub wont open my videos from my Galaxy SII nevermind my crappy chinese camera !
