Hot on the heels of my CD problem (now fixed)

I have bought a new speaker/subwoofer set up, the old set up had built in spacializer , bass, treble on the sub, my new toy (mission MM1) only has a slider bar for the volume.
CAN I
1: download bass and treble, graffic eq functions from tu cows wherever
or
2: get a new sound card??

Cheers

Dave

to do justice to the mission speakers, you need some good quality sound card. have a look at the new creative Sound Blaster Audigy. a good sound card will come with software to adjust bass, treble, etc.

Thanks Suba
Thought that was the case

whilst im here any reason why the visulizations no longer work on my win media player 7 ?? yes visulizations are activated but no longer show, they did when i made the initial download, the graffic eq doesnt work either, but this is probably due to me having a crappy old sound card, yes/no ??
thanks

Mega

Good build quality but you'd expect that from Mish
As with most things computer related, you upgrade one thing which leads you to upgrade another, hence im off to get a new sound card, I will let you know when installed, at the moment they sound like expensive car speakers running without an amp , but i heard them through a basic cd player in the shop and sounded very tasty.

The Munkii's full review to follow

have a look at trend micro online anti-virus.

dont think you need the norton utilities unless you are having problems with your PCs. just install the stuff you need. the more stuff you install, the slower your PC gonna be.

keep it clean and tidy and get the latest patches/drivers for your software and it should run smoothly. goto windows update to get microsoft latest patches, etc.

Suba

I bought the sound card you recomended, excellant!!!, do you have one of these?? can i compose from the piano keyboard that appears on the screen?? maybe save, and WTF is the mix meister studio about!!

Mega Stream

Now I have the Creative Audigy card they sound absolutely awesome, there are so many Eq settings and venue setting with the card you really can set it up nicely, for £50 you cant go wrong as long as you have a half decent sound card that alters bass and treb. which i didnt and meant i went and spent another £90 on a decent sound card

Whilst I'm in the "Lets sort out the PC mood" and have your attention

I need to load my antivirus onto my new hard disc, no problem, but heres the question.

I have a Norton Utilities and CrashGuard Deluxe which have every thing I need, they are old copies, 1999, I was thinking of re loading and then going to the Symantec site and downloading all upgrades, as i have broadband it shouldnt take too long.

Good idea or better off spending more money on the latest versions??

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who answer my inane questions, I'm clueless and your'e not!!

Dave
