Default 'Sort of' Apple TV related

Chaps, not sure if anyone can help with this one...

What I'm trying to do is mirror the ipad / iphone on to my plasma via apple tv whilst running the djay app.

It does work, but its real jerky.

I'm not sure where the bottleneck is - streams audio on its own no probs.

Iphone / iPad connect to the Apple TV through wireless (router runs G & B, not sure of the wireless capability of the iPhone or iPad).

Apple TV connects to the same router through wireless.

Apple TV connected to TV with HDMI.

TV connected to same router with CAT5.

I could, in theory, put a gig switch at the back of the TV so I can split the CAT5- don't know if this would serve any purpose though, other than having both the TV and Apple TV hard wired and freeing up wireless?

I also have a new NetGear N600 router that I could use instead but its a pig to setup and drop the internet connection constantly.

Any ideas?

Cheers..
Simon.

I'm thinking the same, going to cascade n600 300mb thing in to the router and try through that.

Airplay audio only from DJay has a delay so I would think video would struggle.

If you want to mirror it and no lag, then the only way is to use an HDMI connector direct from ipad to TV

Agreed. Forget about any time critical mirroring over AirPlay, it's just not designed for it apparently. Same with GarageBand etc.

Weird thing, works fine with the Korg apps.
