How to I open an. .odt file in Word 03

I was sent a report which I want to read with an .odt extension. Is there a straightforward way of opening this and saving using the old Word please?

OK thanks, I had done a Google search but it seemed I had to download a pile of stuff which I will never use again. But I guess that's the only way although I have asked report author to put report in main body of an e-mail and see if that works. Cheers, david
