Digital Copy Codes......grrrrrrrrrrrr
Bought a couple of Blu Rays in UK and transported them back to Aus.
Tried to upload into itunes [to put onto iphone] but get the response that the codes are for UK/Ireland and won't work. Read the cover of the discs and the small print and it says nothing.
My Itunes account was created in Australia.
Any fix or am I stuffed.
I have sent a couple of e-mails to Universal Support asking for assistance but had nothing back.....t0ssers.
Cheers

The redemption code is region specific in the fact that I bought the disc from the Uk it's linked to the UK and UK based Itunes accounts.
My Itunes account was set up in Australia and therefore it states the redemption code cannot be used.
I have tried to change the region setting for Itunes but that just leads to other complications.
I have never heard of redemption codes being region specific.
The Itunes FAQ puts me in touch with Universal [films were Hanna and Paul], I have asked them why and how to sort out but haven't had any repsonse [twice contacted......t0ssers].
I still need help....

Here .... http://www.pavtube.com/blu-ray-ripper-mac/ ... one of the reviews did exactly what you want to do (in Oz but bought from the US).

I wonder if the codes would work with a free iTunes account? You can give it a shot:
1. Go to iTunes Store, sign out of any account you may be signed into
2. Switch the store location (should be an icon right at the bottom) to the country you want
3. Find a free app, yes, I did say app, and click on the "Free" button. This is the key step
4. It should ask you to create an account, and when it comes to payment options you should be able to click "None" (that is why you select a free app, otherwise it won't give you the no payment option).
If it asks for an address, then if you know an address enter one, or grab the one for Apple's office in that country.
You should then have a nice new account for that country, so give the codes a whirl.
I've certainly used the above method to download apps from various regions and it works without any problems.
