Good morning,
Need some help.
Running InterOrg tool between 2 exchange servers (different organisations and domains), trying to synch free and busy time using the Exssrv.exe program, which needs a MAPI client connection. All is set up as per Microsoft documentation, however, when the service attempts to start, error is generated to event log -

Event ID 120
Unable to create a MAPI session to server [XXXXXXX] using mailbox [xxxxxxx] under NT username [xxxxxxxx] and domain [XXXXXXX] on session 'freebusy'. (xxxxxx substituted for names)

Any ideas anyone ? Myself and a colleague have been on this now for 12 hours ! Re-Created client, set up profiles, re-loaded software, blah, blah, blah!!!!

Much appreciated !

Darrell

Never done inter-org stuff before.

You could try using the system account, unless you are then I'm stuck.

Cool

Does the USERID have full access to required mailboxes on both servers???

Which domain is the USERID logging into, does it have rights on the other domain.

Are you sure the USERID is set to loggon to the correct domains domian\userid etc?

User id logging onto local domain with correct rights etc... Exchange server logged in as admin with full rights to mailbox and account, together with profile setup to enable MAPI client logon.
Account also has rights on other domain as this has been setup with same logon account details, and in advanced settings in Excscfg.exe domain login details are setup correctly.
