Default Hard Drive Costs

Going up faster than petrol. Flooding in Thailand is causing a global shortage as around 25% of all drives are made there.

Not a good time to by a new PC etc.

Yeah it's crazy. On Ebuyer, all the 2TB disks which were around £60 have shot up to £130 overnight. It's going to last for quite a few months as well.

It won't be long before the supply of new PCs hits delays

It's nuts.

One of our trade distributors (Ingram) stopped selling any HDs last week but has now started offering them again. I was paying sub £70 for a WD RE4 1TB a few weeks back - now at £190 ex VAT
