internet probs / virus
hi,
Having probs with my pc, boots and runs fine. microsoft messenger closes due to an error.
yesterday sophos went mad and shut down a webpage I was searching.
when I connect to the internet, connection is fine and internet explorer opens ok but when I try to connect to a website it come up with an error and shuts down. I keep getting data errorrs.
I have run spybot and sophos and picked / cleaned out some virus but still having the connection issues.
any ideas?
regards
daniel

If you can, download and burn the following to CD. If you cant, see if someone can do it for you:
http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208282173
Its a bootable virus scanner/remover that I had to use on my Dads PC the other week. It runs outside of Windows as the virus/trojan was so far imbedded into the system nothing could remove it including malwarebytes and/or combofix. It even found something nasty on Mums computer even though she had been running an up to date AVG virus checker on there.
No affiliation etc, it just worked for me, good luck.

try these steps first and after if its possible run Malwarebytes and ComboFix in Safe Mode with networking
To completely solve "LSA shell has encountered an error" problem you should:
1) Open "services.msc"
2) Find all entries responsible for "Remote Procedure Call"
3) Change their recovery properties from "Shutdown Computer" to "Restart the Service" for all Failure counts ie. 1st, 2nd and subsequent.
4) Run anti virus scan to remove remains of Sasser or Blaster32 virus from your system
You can also temporarily stop reboot in case you see 60 seconds countdown warning by following these steps:
1) Select Start -> Run
2) Type "shutdown -a" and press Enter
