I didn't have to pay a bean as I won the female sales assistant over with some patter, so she waived the upgrade fee and buying out the remainder of the contract.
I don't think that will work again though.

I wonder how much the 5 will be on O2 for an existing customer, to be fair to O2 when the 4 was launched they prioritised exisitng customers.
