Default skimming old DVD and CD's

I know it is a tad old school and retro but I have the need to do install's from DVD and CD every now and then. I also like to keep a wallet of old OS install discs just in case. Now many of my install discs are scratched over the years of being lugged around and was wondering if there are any services out there that skim or renew CD/DVDs ?

Anyone use something like this ?

i have tried a couple of the cheap diy efforts but they werent much cop , i suspect it is cheaper just to download another copy and burn it than send a disc away the repair it
