Calling all GPU nerds!
I have been using a pair of 5770's for just under 2yrs now and have been really impressed with them.... especially for what they cost me.
I'm looking at upgrading and from a small amount of research, I have come to the conclusion that a pair of 2GB 6950's will blow my current GPU configuration to pieces.
The scaling of the 6950 in xfire looks unreal.
My gaming will be restricted to 1920x1200 so does anyone have an opinion on this?
Two 6950's will set me back about £400 and I suspect I could get £100 for selling my pair of 5770's. They also appear not to be far behind SLi 580's, which would cost, getting on for twice as much.

Sorry chaps (Bigsinky & Ant)..... i've bottled it!
Did some testing last night using my current set-up, with Crysis 2. Detail level set to "Very High" @ 1920x1200 on DX9 and it runs at a good solid 60fps.
I can't justify £300 (including my potential 5770 rebate lol), just to enable me to run "Extreme" detail with DX11 on and Hi-Res textures. Most of my gaming is on either the 360 or PS3.
The changes (when you actually play any game) does not make it any better.

I can't comment on SLI, but xfire certainly seems to deliver the goods..... scaling looks to be pretty damn good on the 6950. The 2GB on the card certainly helps, especially at the higher resolutions.

you need to read all the screens. seems pretty scaleable and not that far behind the 580s. take a look at the metro 2033 charts for 2560x1600. 28fps what sort of cards do you need for triple monitor setup? Well £1100 for 6990 crossfire just about does it. nearly 800w on load. **** me.
