what windows phone???
Help!
I've had my Iphone on pay n go for two years and it's slowly dying. The top button has fallen out, vibrate sounds n feels like a door knocker, scratched, one speaker working - really abused.
The wife is forcing me to buy a new phone but I refuse to get an Iphone 4 for their silly prices. - And the fact the with the 3 I found it to be a crap phone with great apps.
I'm thinking Windows phone next £30 a month n I can score ***** a little with the xbox live.
Any comments on the windows phone ? Do you have one ? Which Xbox live one is the best.
Thanks.

I too was looking for an iPhone4, but the prices are just staggering. So, maybe a windows phone will be more use to me. Something that can open up office documents and be productive rather than something that just looks good.

The last incarnation of windows phones were functional, but hamstrung.
Ok office tools was handy, but an excel spreadsheet on a 2" screen!!
They also suffered from severe lag, The best way would be like trying to surf the web on a 286
Don't get me wrong, they were very good at what they did, they were let down by the hardware not being capable enough (capacitive screens etc)
I cant see what your going to gain on W7? how can you score *****, as you aptly put it? afaik you cant play any of the games on the phone, so how can you get achievements?
If you want to keep abreast with your xbox shenanigans, then there are apps on android to do that

Can either an android phone or an iPhone manage to open up a spreadsheet to get that all important OMG I just need this little piece of data? I don't want to edit spreadsheets, just the ability to read the contents on the move if I have an urgent need to access my data.
I presume that there is some sort of ftp app for all phones so that I can hook into my ftp server to grab the file I needed?
