Cool

I have just loaded Solaris 8 x86 on a pc and all is going fine except that I can't get the network to fire up.

Th instructions that I found on the web are pretty good but still don't work.

I created all the relevent files including the /etc/hostname.nei0 and the /kernel/drv/nei file.

It also says to get the driver for a Realtek RTL8139 from http://www.realtek.com.tw/ but can't find the intel version of the drver.

Can anyone help me out.

Cheers

Try a different network card... something more industry standard??
Try a 3COM network card or similar??

I have a realtek at home and has caused problems before.
