Toshiba laptop boot problem
We bought our daughter a Toshiba Satellite C650 laptop running windows 7 OS for Xmas. All has been fine up until today when she started her laptop up.
After the Toshiba splash screen she got the following message;
I've brought it down to have a look and now after the Toshiba splash screen I just get a constant (not flashing) curser on the top left side of a black screen???
I've entered setup and the boot order is;
1. HDD/SSD
2. CD/DVD
3. FDD
4. LAN
5. USB
Any ideas?
Its still under warranty........

It's "electric" init! Seriously, these things can go t!ts-up at any time, but as it's 3 months old you've got a warranty. Got a backup at all?
Try resetting the BIOS to default values to see if there's a problem there. In the past I've had what looks like everything set correctly in the BIOS but still nothing worked. A reset, and the same values(!!), and all was good.
That could very well be the reason ......
