Post make my desktop a wifi link?
Basically I have moved into a new office, and the "college" wifi that i link my HTC to is very intermittant (tried asking the IT bods and they want £650 to put a new node in), is there a way of putting something on my cabled desktop which i could wifi link to? (even though i not meant to!!)

Share the internet via your Desktop's wifi card. Simple on OSX, painful but doable on Windows.

Don't you just need a simple wireless G/N dongle ? And then share you PC's web connection ?

If you know the login credentials, why not get a simple rangebooster?

I picked up one from amazon for £15

use an old wifi router if you have one lying around, disable dhcp in it and use it as a wireless access point
