Cool Bad news for Sony!

In the news today, LG have got an injunction which means all imports of PS3s into the UK have to be seized by HM Customs!

Hope mine doesn't break......

I don't get it? PS3 has been out since 2006, so have the internals changed since then or have LG been upset about it since then??

The reason why LG have done this is because Sony tried to get a patent infringment injunction against LG just before christmas with there mobiloe phones, its a bit like nokia and apples tit for tat, nothing will ever come of it.

The big difference here is that if LG lose the case then they have to pay any charges incurred storing the seized goods. That's going to be a substantial amount.

It's only since around September last year that the PS3 was hacked. Then towards the end of last year the hackers made alot of progress. My guess is that LG have only managed to look at Sony's code to do with the way it renders Blu Ray movies around this time thanks to the hackers.

Sony are also being sued for removing the Other OS option from it's launch models via a firmware update.
