Fight Night: Champion
Anyone else looking forward to this? I totally submerged myself in FN3, but didn't enjoy FN4 as much, just thought the controls and the dodge/knockout (flash knockout) didn't work as well. Haven't played the xbrick since Assassins Creed: Brotherhood.
I'm not online, has anyone heard anything or have comments on the demo?

I've not been able to get to Asda to get it yet. A friend who was as eager as me to get it, says it's really hard. Hmmm, can't wait to flex my thumbs.

Really?
I picked it up last night. Got £15 for Mafia 2, GTA LC £8, GTA4 £11 all as trade it, so FNC was only £6
Getting about 2-3 hours with it today.

Well i've got to the final dude in movie mode, he's well hard.
Started Legacy mode and whilst it kinda looks the same, there are plenty of changed to the training setup, with the inclusion of stamina playing a part and resting the figher, or suffering a stamina loss during the fight.
I took my first fight on, with only 50% stamina after winning the amatuers, only bloody lost!!! So i'm 1-1 with David Haye. ( <- Maybe he's the problem I think Legacy mode will keep me going for a couple of weeks. I'm sure if i were online, it would have a greater appeal.

I can get past the first 2 rounds without being knockout, i'm now into round 3 and it's hard to start fighting him.
I gave up with David Haye on legacy mode, with 1-3 record. He was just not suited to my fighting style.
I changed to Manny Pacquiao and it's night and day. Think i'm about 12-0 10 KO. I'm about 35 in the table now and the last 2 fights have been really tough. I had to headbutt to stop the stun, was behind on points but both fights got stopped for them on cuts. It is hard now!

Not really into UFC, but there's some cracking fights this weekend:
Michael Grant (46-4) vs. Tye Fields (44-2)
Joel Casamayor (37-5-1) vs. Manuel Leyva (18-1)
Sergio Martinez (46-2-2) vs. Sergy Dzinziruk (37-0)
Miguel Cotto (35-2) vs. Ricardo Mayorga (29-7-1)
Miguel Vazquez (27-3) vs. Leonardo Zappavigna (25-0)
Yuri Foreman (28-1) vs. Pawel Wolak (28-1)
Ricky Burns (30-2) vs. Joseph Laryea (14-4)
Michael Jennings (36-3) vs. Gary McMillan (11-2-1)
Cotto & Martinez are two of my favourite fighters.

Read a funny post about that fight. They said..."Tye Fields and Micheal Grant should be held on a boat in international waters, because when one of those boys hits the ground the earth will move."

I just can't beat Isaac Frost. Survived the first 2 rounds with only one knockdown. Landed the 75/75 body punches. Didn't know what to do next and got KO'd in round 4.
Even Legacy mode is getting super hard now. I've lost the last 4 fights in a row.

You need to go the first 2 rounds basically running away from him, then the next 3 body punching him until you get to 75. then at the start of round 6 you need to dodge again for 2 rounds until they fix your cut, after that the trainer will tell you to go for it, at this point Isaac is alot easier to fight, his punches are pretty poor and he doesnt block his head properly
Took me a good few shots aswell but as soon as your at round 8 its easier

Feckin' 'ell. So i got all the body punches done by round 4, the game should've adapted. I can't believe i'd then have to dodge him again for another 2 rounds. Any tips? I played more of Legacy today. My thumbs can't keep up, they're red raw. So i'll give it a few days and come back, but i reckon the controller might meet with the screen it's that hard.

Yeah, i tried that, but he eventually cuts you off and throws some bombs. What i've found with FN is that the boxer movement is a real lacking part of the game, reality-wise. The amount of ground real boxers cover in the ring with ease is missing from the game, i'd like to see better movement. Pacman can throw a punch turn the boxer 90 degrees and throw again, FN is waaaaay to slow to attempt anything like that.
I am liking the buttons option. I mainly use button, then the analogue stick for uppercuts or overhand shots. Would be nice if / easier if the defense was on the same par, one button movement to shoulder roll shots.
